The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant (Communications) at the Office for Research.
Project Title: Understanding the Development and Drivers of Adolescents’ Educational Pathways: The Singapore Longitudinal Cohort Study Phase 1b
Project Introduction: This study seeks primarily to understand (a) the nature of educational pathways made by students through secondary education, (b) the drivers of the choices and decisions made about educational pathways through secondary education (especially self-identity and agency, school and career aspirations, and social and relational contexts), (c) factors that influence the stability and change patterns of educational pathways.
The Candidate will be leading project communications and participant engagement efforts.
Requirements
Essential
BSc/Bachelors in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations and/or relevant field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with web content management tools, like WordPress
- Copywriting skills
- Experience with marketing campaigns on multiple social media platforms
- Understands Digital Media Strategies
- Strong ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously, meet deadlines and to coordinate across projects and teams to ensure successful implementation of communication strategies and initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work cooperatively in both small (<3 pax) and large teams (>20 Pax)
- Proficient in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and POWERPOINT, TEAMS applications
Preferred
- Experience in web design and content production
- Experience in copywriting and editing
- Knowledge of Video Editing Software
- Experience in event management
Responsibilities
- To contribute to the creation, development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns for various project activities and events.
- Maintain web content and execute social media strategies
- To build and maintain the project’s branding by ensuring consistent messaging and project identity across communication materials
- Coordinating the design of promotional material and distributing in online and offline channels
- To manage key initiatives and events
- To utilize digital platforms and channels including social media and project websites.
- Be responsible for preparing quality media materials.
- Overseeing project communications with participants
- Liaise with participating schools/parents/teachers/students and other researchers involved in the project
- Other tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator / Co-PIs
