Job Description

Supports the study conduction process for Phase I clinical studies. Collects study-specific data by performing technical and non-technical procedures. Troubleshoots and resolves common procedural issues.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Performs technical procedures including Automated Vital Signs, 

  • Electrocardiogram, blood collections, etc.

  • Performs non-technical procedures including urine collections, subject walks and safety monitoring.

  • Performs advanced technical procedures including platelet aggregation, holter 

  • monitoring, difficult blood collections and advanced phlebotomy techniques.

  • Interacts regularly with study subjects in all in-house and outpatient studies in order to perform study related procedures.

  • Mentors and assists team members.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: 

  • Czech Language is essential (minimum A2 level)

  • High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

  • Technical positions may require a certificate

  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 1 year).

In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

  • General knowledge of the clinical research process

  • General knowledge of Phase I clinic operations

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment



Working Conditions and Environment: 

  • Work is performed in an office or clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. 

  • Frequently works long hours and varying shifts

  • Frequently works weekends and/or holidays

  • Frequently works at a fast pace under varying time constraints

  • Frequently requires working on multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Frequent exposure to bio-hazardous material, infectious diseases and/or illnesses

  • Personal protective equipment may be required such as protective eyewear, garments and gloves.


Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally stationary for 1 - 2 hours per day. 

  • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. 

  • Frequent mobility required. 

  • Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck. 

  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs. 

  • Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.

  • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with he ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. 

  • May interact with others, relating and gathering sensitive information. Interaction includes diverse groups.

  • Works with guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions from management. May require periods of intense concentration. 

  • Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.
