Hourly Pay Range:

$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am – 4:30pm
  • Required Travel: Occasional travel to Endeavor Hospitals as needed (Skokie, Highland Park, etc.)


A Brief Overview:
The Research Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting and contributing to research initiatives within the hospital's Anesthesia department. This position provides an opportunity to be involved in cutting-edge medical research projects that can have a profound impact on patient care and healthcare advancements.

What you will do:

  • Research and collects data through complex techniques and procedures, library research, structured interviews, or other project specific methodology.
  • Interprets, synthesizes, and analyzes data.
  • Schedules, organizes, and reports on status of research activities.
  • Plans and modifies research techniques, procedures, tests, equipment, or software management.
  • Writes and edits materials for publication and presentation.
  • Meets with faculty supervisor on regular basis to maintain ongoing communication regarding the quality of the assistant’s performance.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Gain experience in observing perioperative clinical medicine in the operating room, intensive care, and pain medicine clinic.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (preferably in social, biological, computer or healthcare sciences) required
  • Experience: 6 months minimum experience as a research assistant in human subjects’ research (or equivalent position) preferred. Experience facilitating recruitment and follow-up strategies with clinic personnel and operational problem solving.
  • Skills: Skills with Microsoft Office, coding, data analysis, copy machines, fax machines, bladder scanners, EEG equipment preferred
