The successful candidate will play a key role in completing long-term aging analyses, advanced microstructural characterization, mechanical testing, and manuscript preparation for aluminum alloy samples, contributing directly to peer-reviewed publications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The tasks of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Conducts research following established protocols to support long‑term aging studies of aluminum alloys, integrating experimental observations into the broader research objectives of the project.
Oversees and assists with the planning and execution of experimental research activities, including the coordination and interpretation of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analyses, as well as associated mechanical testing programs.
Analyzes and interprets research data derived from SEM, TEM (including HRTEM), diffraction analysis, and long‑term aging studies, synthesizing results into scientifically rigorous conclusions that advance the research program.
Recommends and implements improvements to research methodologies and analytical approaches based on emerging findings, contributing to the refinement of experimental strategies and study design.
Write and contribute to scholarly research outputs, including manuscripts, methodological summaries, and scientific papers intended for peer‑reviewed publication, particularly in the field of LPBF aluminum alloys.
