Research Assistant 2 position in the Huberman Lab to design, assemble, operate and maintain an ultrafast pump probe table-top optical set up.

Position Summary:

  • Design, assemble, operate and maintain an ultrafast pump probe table-top optical set-up.
  • Design the experiments in discussion with the supervisor, analyze the results, and create high quality publishable figures, tables, with relevant discussions.
  • Regularly report and present during the weekly group meetings.
  • Create documents that other lab members could follow and perform the experiments in the future.
  • Help with training other lab members to work with these instruments.
  • Be part of the Huberman Lab and collaboratively work with all lab members. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience with ultrafast optics.
  • Experience with high power lasers.
  • Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant discipline.

Other Qualifying Skills:

Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #4
