The Research Assistant 2 will assist the Research Supervisor in research-related recruitment and commercialization/business development.


Position Summary:

  • Lead recruitment activities for ongoing and upcoming studies, including managing participant databases, screening potential participants, and scheduling study visits.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and ensure compliance with institutional and ethical guidelines.
  • Provide translation of study documents, consent forms, and participant communication materials (e.g., English-French).
  • Assist in producing clear, accessible participant-facing materials, digital content, and summaries.
  • Draft, revise, and submit REB applications, amendments, and renewal; Coordinate correspondence with the ethics office and ensure project documentation remains compliant and up to date.
  • Assist with outreach initiatives to clinicians, community groups, partners, and potential study collaborators.
  • Support early business development tasks for digital health projects, including market research, user engagement tracking, and preparation of pitch or demo materials.


Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in psychology, neuroscience, biomedical science, public health, or a related field and 2 years of experience in clinical research or practice or equivalent business experience.
  • Strong communication skills in English and French (spoken and written); additional languages an asset.
  • Experience with participant recruitment or human-subjects research.
  • Familiarity with REB/IRB processes and ethical guidelines for human research. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and work independently. Comfortable with digital tools (e.g., REDCap, Qualtrics, MS Office/Google Suite).
