Position Summary:
Responsibilities will include:
Performing literature reviews to identify key gaps in current knowledge
Supporting federal and provincial report research and writing activities
Developing analytic plans and conducting data analysis using secondary data sources (typically, but not limited to, provincial administrative health data)
Preparing ethics applications for research protocols, acquiring approval from McGill and other institutions review boards
Preparing data access requests and liaising with data stewards (e.g., PopData, HDRN, ICES)
Writing peer-reviewed manuscripts for publication in high impact journals
Leading knowledge translation activities, including presentations at research conferences, meeting with key stakeholders (e.g., patient groups, federal policy makers), and participating in policy change initiatives
Identifying relevant funding sources and developing grant proposals and applications
Assisting research trainees with presentations and manuscript development
Other research-related tasks as needed
