Position Summary:
The research assistant 1 will be responsible for developing detailed data analysis plans, data preparation (linkage between data sources, clean up, operationalization of intermediary and outcome measures, and structure), coding and running analyses using a variety of statistical methods, interpreting results and preparing research manuscripts. To do so, he will rely on his advanced programming skills, familiarity with comprehensive administrative health data (e.g., hospital discharge data, patient demographic records, physician billings, and prescription dispensations) and disease registries (BC cancer registry), previously developed algorithms (e.g., converting all opioids dispensed to morphine milligram equivalents), and epidemiological and econometric methods (e.g., interrupted time series analysis, hierarchical regression models).
