Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document avionics requirements for the H-47 Chinook
Design and develop innovative avionics systems, ensuring they meet stringent performance and safety standards
Integrate avionics systems into the H-47 Chinook platform, working closely with other engineering disciplines
Conduct rigorous testing and validation of avionics systems to ensure they meet customer and regulatory requirements
Provide technical support to worldwide customers, addressing and resolving avionics-related issues
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in avionics technology and apply them to enhance our products
Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and project planning activities
Travel occasionally (<10%) to support customer needs and field testing
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (level 2)
Experience with avionics systems and integration
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to avionics
Strong understanding of electrical and systems engineering principles
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly across a wide variety of engineering and non-engineering disciplines
Highly motivated with a passion for aviation and avionics technology
Ability to obtain a secret security clearance
Typical Education/Experience:
Level 1: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor), or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
