Requirements Analyst

GDIT has an exciting opportunity to support the Security Assistance Group – Ukraine (SAG-U) as a member of our Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services (EMITS) program supporting U.S. Army Europe and Africa’s (USAREUR-AF) mission in Wiesbaden, Germany.

The Requirements Analyst plays a critical role within the J6 Plans Division (J65), capturing, validating, and documenting technical and operational IT requirements in support of projects and service delivery. This position ensures that J6 initiatives are aligned to mission needs by translating user inputs into actionable project plans, procurement requests, or system changes.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT


As a Requirements Analyst at GDIT, you will serve as a trusted liaison between operational users, project teams, and senior leadership. Your work ensures that mission-critical capabilities are accurately defined, traceable, and achievable.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Engage end users, stakeholders, and SMEs to gather and refine IT and cybersecurity requirements
  • Develop functional requirement documents (FRDs), system requirement specifications (SRS), and traceability matrices
  • Translate mission needs into technical objectives and assist project managers in developing implementation plans
  • Support technical solutioning and contribute to proposal, procurement, and change management documentation
  • Collaborate with Knowledge Management, Cyber, and Sustainment teams to ensure requirements align with policies and funding
  • Participate in capability development planning, working groups, and briefings with higher headquarters and coalition partners

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of experience, Associate’s with 4 years, or Bachelor’s with 2 years in systems analysis, IT planning, or operations analysis
  • Experience: 3+ years in requirements gathering and analysis within DoD or federal environments
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) or equivalent planning models; Understanding of IT lifecycle processes, cybersecurity principles, and RMF impact on system requirements; Strong proficiency in MS Office and documentation tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance required
  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to translate non-technical inputs into structured technical language and task outlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface with users, developers, planners, and leadership
  • Detail-oriented with excellent writing and organizational capabilities

CERTIFICATIONS

  • Required: IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security+ CE),
  • Preferred: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), DAU certifications, or ITIL Foundation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Army or Joint operational IT requirements planning
  • Prior support to enclave buildouts, classified communications, or coalition mission planning
  • Familiarity with requirement management tools or knowledge management systems

The likely salary range for this position is $93,662 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
