The Dispute Resolution and Decision Review Body (DRDRB) requires an enthusiastic self-starter possessing excellent administration, customer service and team building skills to fill the above noted position.

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality administration support to Resolution Specialists of DRDRB, which would include attendance management, monitoring and reporting on workflow management, proofreading decisions, answering inquiries, requesting document translation, and collaborating in a consulting role with the Client Service Department.
  • Ensuring timely response of internal/external phone inquiries and/or direct callers to appropriate individuals.
  • Contact external stakeholders and send correspondence regarding temporarily withdrawn Request for Reviews.
  • Receive and review Requests for Review and assign Requests for Review to Resolution Specialists.
  • Review Appeals Commission documentation to determine the proper distribution and action to be taken, updating eCo as necessary.
  • Finalize DRDRB decisions, ensuring accuracy of formatting, issues, and final decision on eCO.
  • Effectively manage multiple eCo desks, utilizing effective task management to maintain timeliness.
  • Monitor DRDRB eCo desks on a daily basis, correctly actioning and/or forwarding tasks.
  • Open and determine action/distribution of incoming mail and faxes.
  • Providing feedback to the Supervisor, Dispute Resolution and Decision Review Body to ensure our goals and expectations are met.

Your experience and skills:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Business Office Administration.
  • Related administrative experience.
  • Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Knowledge and experience in using eCO and other WCB systems is essential (i.e. IMAGE, PAM, Workday, Lotus Notes).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, proven organizational abilities.
  • Excellent time management and ability to manage a high volume of work in a busy environment.
  • Knowledge of the appeal process and WC Act, policies and procedures is beneficial.
  • Work well both independently and within a team.
  • Ability to resolve and diffuse difficult client situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Salary: Salary Grade 6   Start Rate: $53,199    to       Job Rate: $59,125per annum

Successful candidate must reside in Alberta and be able to work in person from our Edmonton/Calgary office as required. Final candidates are required to undergo a security clearance as a condition of employment.
