Position Summary:
The Senior Reporting & Analytics Analyst is a key contributor to advancing data-driven innovation in clinical, academic, and research initiatives within the Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Aligned with the Medical Center’s mission to improve health in Ohio and across the world, this role leads high-impact, cross-functional analytics initiatives that support evidence-based decision-making, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the department.
With advanced expertise in healthcare data analytics and a deep understanding of academic medical center operations, this role collaborates closely with clinical leaders, faculty researchers, trainees, and institutional partners to build scalable solutions that drive patient care outcomes, support research excellence, and foster educational achievement.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be required. 8 years of relevant experience required. 12 or more years of relevant experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise-level reporting and analytics initiatives that align with the medical center’s mission of improving health through innovation in research, education, and patient care.
- Independently design and implement complex data models, reporting systems, automation tools, and performance dashboards that support strategic goals in radiology operations, quality improvement, and academic performance.
- Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and trainees to define evaluation frameworks for clinical effectiveness, scholarly productivity, and program accreditation; provide timely, accurate insights to support these efforts.
- Drive development of advanced statistical and predictive models to improve decision-making in areas such as imaging utilization, staffing optimization, modality performance, and patient access.
- Ensure data governance, integrity, and compliance with HIPAA, IRB protocols, and institutional data standards across all reporting and analytics activities.
- Translate complex data into compelling visualizations and narratives that resonate with diverse stakeholders, from frontline staff to senior leadership.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to department leaders and institutional collaborators, offering consultative expertise on methodology, data interpretation, and strategic planning.
- Establish best practices for documentation, quality control, and peer review of analytical work products.
- Engage in departmental and institutional committees or workgroups focused on analytics, digital transformation, and academic innovation.
- Play an active role in the long-term advancement of the department by aligning analytics efforts with the tripartite mission of patient care, research, and education.

1. Advanced Data Analytics & Model Development – 30%
- Design and implement complex data models, dashboards, and automation tools.
- Develop predictive, prescriptive, and inferential analytics for clinical and operational decision-making.
- Build scalable analytics frameworks that support strategic goals.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement – 20%
- Partner with faculty, clinicians, researchers, and administrators to identify needs and define metrics.
- Serve as a consultant on analytical strategies for clinical, operational, and research initiatives.
- Communicate insights effectively through visualizations and presentations.
3. Project Leadership & Strategic Impact – 20%
- Lead high-impact, cross-departmental projects that drive institutional priorities.
- Align analytics initiatives with OSUWMC’s mission and long-term strategic goals.
- Influence decision-making through data storytelling and actionable insights.
4. Data Governance, Compliance & Quality Assurance – 20%
- Ensure accuracy, privacy, and regulatory compliance of radiology-related data (HIPAA, IRB, etc.).
- Implement data validation, quality controls, and documentation standards.
- Collaborate with IT and data governance teams to maintain data integrity.
5. Support for Research & Academic Initiatives – 10%
- Provide data and analytics support for research studies, grant applications, and academic productivity metrics.
- Develop evaluation frameworks for education and training programs.
- Align with the tripartite academic mission of care, research, and education.
