Job Summary
The Red Hat Sales team is now seeking a Customer Portfolio Manager (Renewal Sales Specialist) to join us in Italy. In this role, you will be responsible for working on and closing renewal deals in the Enterprise / Strategic space, in cooperation with Account Managers, as well as growing the business. You'll have to become accustomed to complex contracts and bids, as well as dealing with a number of smaller renewals, in order to ensure high Renewal Retention Rates. This role is a great opportunity to work collaboratively with multicultural internal and external teams to improve renewal rates and perform activities that create additional pipeline or upsell/ cross-sell solutions that serve both Red Hat and our customers.
Primary job responsibilities:
Work with your customers to identify renewals, up-sell and cross-sell opportunities, and optimize quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction
Secure Renewal business by engaging with end users, partners and distributors ahead of the renewal due dates
Manage forecasts and pipeline, record sales activity, schedule follow-up activities as needed, and track customer data using company-standard CRM tool
Work with Finance, Deal Desk, Legal, and Operations teams across the region to facilitate deals and make sure all necessary information is available
Work closely with the Account Managers on updating each other on progress and agree on next steps
Perform additional calls to top accounts agreed with the Account Managers throughout the year to ensure visibility in the account, environment and secure a higher renewal rate as well as keeping a close relationship with the customers
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the industry, as well as Red Hat's competitive position
Required Skills:
Prior experience in a sales role in public sector preferred
2+ years experience in a technology or software sales position in outside sales, inside sales, telemarketing or sales administration, with a record of meeting/exceeding sales goals.
Strong knowledge of bid and contract management essential
Understanding the Customer Lifecycle to drive adoption and customer retention
Demonstrated success in a similar technology or software sales support position, e.g. outside or inside with a track record of achieving your goals
Understanding of complete sales cycle management, from prospecting to closing
High-quality customer service skills
Good organizational and time management skills and the ability to build long-term relationships with customers by establishing trust and credibility
Ability to work well within a team and coordinate complex activities in a fast-paced environment
Motivated and committed
Fluent Italian and English language skills
