Duration of contract: 15 months (to be extended as required)
This is an on-ground role. The selected candidate will be the day-to-day face of the project at the client, keeping the work moving, the communication clean, and the tasks of the scope executed successfully. The selected candidate will help the Project Team by turning plans into actions and actions into well-documented outputs as per the requirement of the project.
Educational Qualifications (Mandatory)
Masters in one of the following disciplines:
Electrical Engineering
Science
Business Administration
Professional Experience :
At least 3-year project experience with a State Renewable Designated Agency or Indian DISCOMs.
Participation in at least 2 projects on topics/technologies related to Roof-top solar implementation/ Micro and Mini grid development
Participation in at least 2 projects in the RE sector specifically executed for the North-East region .
The selected candidate will support the client on a daily basis including but not limited to coordination with the nodal officer and relevant departments, tracking progress against agreed timelines, and making sure requests from the client are closed with clear evidence. He/She will also drive field supportdata collection, stakeholder follow-ups, and issue tracking.
Scope of services will include:
Support the client in scaling renewable energy initiatives in the state through a mix of technical assistance and daytoday programme coordination.
Support policy and programme reviews by compiling evidence, consolidating stakeholder inputs, and drafting practical notes for discussion and decision-making.
Provide on-ground implementation support for renewable energy interventions (including solarisation of government assets), primarily through coordination, documentation, and structured followups.
Support planning and implementation of decentralised renewable solutions (including micro/mini grids), and contribute to approaches that improve longterm sustainability and continuity.
Support strengthening of grievance redressal by mapping current practices, helping define improved workflows, coordinating consultations, and supporting rollout/handholding (excluding the core IT build and development work).
Support additional priority themes as they emerge during the contract period through targeted research, coordination and reporting (e.g., storage, emobility, green hydrogen, hybrid projects, capacity building and pilot initiatives).
Promote gender equality and social inclusion across activities and project materials, and support tracking/documentation of gender-related measures and indicators.
Maintain regular coordination with the client, manage short-notice meetings when required, and follow through on action points until closure.
Support planning and steering meetings by keeping discussions focused, capturing decisions, and ensuring responsibilities and timelines are clear.
Maintain a progress overview (status, dependencies, risks) and flag issues early so they can be addressed before they become delays.
Support adherence to agreed timelines and specifications for ongoing activities and related engagements, and escalate risks through the appropriate channels.
Support collection and basic validation of data/information from the client and stakeholders, with clear documentation of sources and assumptions.
Prepare and circulate Minutes of Meeting and short progress notes to ensure decisions, actions and learning are formally recorded.
Support organisation and coordination of meetings and workshops, including planning support, participant coordination, and follow-up documentation.
Ensure day-to-day activities and engagement plans remain aligned with the project coordinators guidance and the internal workplan.
