As a Telepharmacist, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple hospitals using innovative technology. In this fully remote role, you will partner with clinical teams to ensure safe, effective medication management while enhancing care coordination and patient outcomes. Your clinical expertise and collaborative approach will support exceptional care delivery across diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Licenses required- MA, NH, CT, VT, ME
- Provide remote pharmacy services, including order entry, verification, and clinical review to ensure safe and accurate medication use.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver timely clinical recommendations and improve patient outcomes.
- Evaluate medication orders, identify potential interactions or risks, and recommend appropriate therapeutic adjustments.
- Deliver drug information and clinical guidance related to dosing, administration, and disease management.
- Support care across diverse patient populations, including pediatric, geriatric, and medically complex patients.
- Document all clinical activity accurately and completely within pharmacy systems.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
- Utilize multiple pharmacy information systems and technology tools to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
- Participate in training, onboarding, and continuous learning to maintain knowledge across systems and client environments.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to performance and productivity goals.
- Escalate and assist in resolving medication-related concerns or variances in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
- Active Pharmacist license with ability to obtain and maintain licensure in multiple states.
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital or inpatient pharmacy experience.
- Strong clinical knowledge including medication therapy management, drug interactions, and disease state management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across care teams.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection suitable for remote work.
- Licensed in a minimum of three of the following states: MA, NH, VT, CT, ME
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in telepharmacy or supporting multiple hospital systems.
- Familiarity with inpatient pharmacy operations, including IV admixtures, TPN, and specialty therapies.
- Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and remote clinical technology platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows in a fast-paced environment.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 54 - 91 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
