Teledyne Controls is seeking a motivated entry‑level Reliability Engineer to launch their engineering career in commercial aviation electronics. In this role, you’ll help investigate real‑world field issues, analyze reliability data, identify failure trends, and participate in Failure Review Boards (FRBs) that support product safety, performance, and continuous improvement. You’ll apply foundational reliability engineering methods alongside data‑driven and AI‑assisted analytics, gaining hands‑on experience with certified aerospace products, real field data, and modern engineering tools while working with cross‑functional teams.

What you’ll do

  • Learn to track and analyze reliability metrics such as MTBUR and MTBF across multiple product lines
  • Assist with failure trend analysis of field returns and support root cause investigations
  • Prepare reliability reports, dashboards, and technical presentations with guidance from senior engineers
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to help resolve component‑level issues
  • Support reliability predictions and FMECAs for new product development
  • Participate in corrective action efforts and MRB investigations
  • Work closely with cross‑functional engineering teams while developing core reliability engineering skills

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering (required)
  • 0–2 years of experience in reliability engineering or a related discipline involving electronic equipment (internships, co‑ops, academic projects, or relevant coursework welcomed)
  • Basic understanding of machine learning or AI‑assisted analytics concepts (coursework or projects acceptable)
  • Exposure to working with structured and unstructured datasets
  • Strong interest in applying data and AI tools to reliability engineering and fault analysis
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. Person (includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees)

Salary Range:

$58,700.00-$78,300.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
