Job Description Summary

The Reliability Analytics Engineering Intern is an analytics-focused role within the technology organization that supports the development and evaluation of data-driven health metrics for ultrasound imaging systems. This role focuses on analyzing system-generated data to derive health indicators, identify reliability trends, and support proactive maintenance initiatives. The intern will work closely with engineering and analytics mentors to support data analysis activities and contribute insights over a six-month period.

Job Description

Your Learning Objectives

  • Gain experience working with system-generated and historical data
  • Learn how system health indicators and reliability metrics are defined and evaluated
  • Develop practical skills in data exploration, trend interpretation, and analytical reasoning
  • Understand how analytics supports engineering decision-making and continuous improvement efforts

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical evaluation of available data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies related to system health and reliability
  • Support the development and assessment of high-level system health indicators and metrics
  • Conduct exploratory and trend-based analyses to distinguish normal operational behavior from potential degradation
  • Assist in synthesizing insights from multiple information sources to support reliability and quality understanding
  • Develop visualizations and analytical summaries to communicate insights to technical stakeholders
  • Document analytical approaches, assumptions, and observations in a clear and structured manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and analytics teams to align analyses with organizational objectives

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Familiarity with data analysis using Python or similar tools
  • Foundational understanding of statistics and exploratory data analysis
  • Ability to interpret data and communicate analytical insights clearly
  • Fluent English in written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to time-series or trend-based data analysis
  • Experience with data visualization or reporting tools
  • Interest in reliability engineering, systems engineering, or applied analytics
  • Academic or personal projects involving analytical problem-solving

Internship Duration & Scope

Duration: 6 months
Scope: This role emphasizes analytical evaluation, interpretation, and clear communication of data-driven insights related to system health and reliability.

Working model: hybrid (4 days onsite/1 day homeoffice)

Internship compensation is determined in accordance with the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry and varies depending on the student’s grade level and assigned duties.
