Your Role:
The key job functions for the Release Manager are as follows:
Planning and coordination of the engineering activities which are necessary for each software release
Work closely with stakeholders across global teams to overcome obstacles in meeting program deliverables on time with quality
Create of documentation necessary for release
Align Release schedule internally and externally
Verify and Approve System/Software reports
Ensure software quality goals are met
Create and maintain Jira structures to ensure timely deliveries
Cooperate with Product Management to create and maintain Feature Rollout Plan
Support Product Management to maintain product backlog
Lead process to track/plan and mitigate existing Problems and Risks
Follow the Automotive SPICE Release processes
Actively participate in technical innovation and organization programs
Your Background:
Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or similar
Experience in software integration
At least 3 years of experience in the delivery of software programs
At least 3 years of experience working directly with customers
Very good knowledge of software configuration tools like git/gerrit
Experience with agile development techniques
Experience with globally distributed teams
Experience with collaboration with team of software development’s Engineers, Project Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, System Leads and Architects
Knowledge of SW quality processes (e.g. Automotive SPICE)
Very good communication skills
Very good written and spoken English skills
Additional Background Preferences:
Familiarity with Automotive SPICE
Able to cultivate strong relationships within APTIV across all engineering and program management
Experience with SDLC tools such as JIRA, requirements management tools, and configuration management tools
Familiarity with software test frameworks and platforms like Cunit, GoogleTest, VectorCast
