An Internal Wholesaler (IWS) serves as the single point of contact for both sales and service requirements of distributors within the assigned territory. The role demands continuous knowledge enhancement, innovative thinking to drive business, and strong self-motivation. Regular collaboration with Regional heads, Cluster heads, External wholesalers, and the service team is essential to ensure effective teamwork and efficient business delivery.
The IWS is primarily responsible for generating sales in territories without a Franklin Templeton branch /physical presence. This involves leveraging industry knowledge, understanding FT products, campaigns, and solutions to proactively engage distributors through calls, online presentations, and periodic field visits (once every six months). These visits include large-format meetings and one-on-one distributor interactions.
Key responsibilities include achieving defined sales targets, expanding market share, and resolve distributor queries in partnership with the service team.
Internal wholesalers perform tasks designed to develop and grow business relationships with the goal of expanding markets and increasing sales. The way of communication and engagement is through calls, video conferences, regular field visits and virtual knowledge sessions. While a database is provided, an IWS is responsible for expanding the same by identifying opportunities of empanelling potential distributors, create more national distributor contact points.
Maintain & Grow Distributor Relationships:
Achieve sales targets and grow market share.
Build and manage distributor relationships through regular calls and biannual field visits.
Provide market insights, product updates, and digital enhancements to add value.
Maintain and refresh distributor database quarterly to focus on key business counters.
Conduct consultative sales calls and virtual engagements with IMFDs and National Distributors.
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve distributor queries promptly.
Planning, Adhering to Sales Efficiency Process & Territory Management:
Drive Territory Business & Execution:
Monitor sales metrics and apply market intelligence to maintain effective databases.
Ensure quality call/activity capture in Talisma CRM to improve engagement and productivity.
Collaborate with sales leaders, external wholesalers, and internal teams to manage territory and drive business.
Design roadmaps and strategies to achieve both macro (sales) and granular (IMFD/ND) targets.
Identify high-potential counters and engage senior leaders or portfolio managers for targeted sessions.
Support branch-level engagements and handle distributor queries with minimal supervision.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA preferred.
2–4 years of relevant experience in BFSI.
Proficiency in the local language (Tamil mandatory for the territory).
Skilled in Microsoft Office and delivering PowerPoint presentations.
Willing to work from Hyderabad location.
Work Shift Timings - 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM IST
