Job Summary: 

As a virtual Relationship Manager II at The Standard, you will be providing best in class and profitable customer service to channel relationships, plan decision-makers, and plan participants for assigned accounts to achieve business growth and customer retention. This role supports a dedicated book of advisors and employers virtually.  

  • Develop and manage effective primary relationships with primarily advisors, and channel relationships through frequent contact, proactive touchpoints, proactive phone calls, professional negotiation, responsive communication, and problem resolution. 
  • Develop and manage both standalone plans and Private Label PEPs. 
  • Work with customers (primarily advisors, but also employers), and channel relationships to understand their concerns/needs and, as needed, act as liaison between home office departments and the customer to initiate plan improvements and resolve issues. Inform the customer in a timely manner of industry and regulatory changes and explain the impact on the client. 
  • Provide plan design consulting services as needed. Provide investment advisory services, fund lineup updates, and deliver Investment Due Diligence and Monitoring Reports as necessary. 
  • Drive client retention by providing value added information to advisors and delivering information such as plan reviews through virtual meetings. 
  • Coordinate the installation of assigned new groups with the advisor and plan sponsor and channel relationships. This may include assisting in the data collection process, managing the new business submission process, delivering documents and agreements, communicating with the plan sponsor and channel relationship, and other activities related to a new plan. 
  • Deliver all aspects of the enrollment, re-enrollment, and education process. Includes scheduling, determining content, preparing for, scheduling on-site employee meetings, and delivering virtual meetings. 
  • Participate in sales presentations as a relationship manager when requested by sales manager.  
  • Promote new products and services to employers. 

* Ability to work in Pacific Time Zone is a requirement of the role. * 

 

Skills and Background You’ll Need 

EDUCATION: A Bachelor’s degree is required. 

CERTIFICATION: You will be required to transfer or obtain a Series 6 /7, with Series 63 where applicable, OR a Series 65 license within 90 days of your date of hire. These licenses are required as part of your position.

EXPERIENCE: Requires 3+ years’ of demonstrated relationship management experience in the retirement plans field. Working knowledge of qualified plans, ERISA, and qualified plan investments.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

The actual compensation for this role will be based on a combination of education and experience, knowledge and skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.

Salary Range:

$105k base+ depending on experience + commission and bonuses
