About the Team

Our North American Underwriting Support and Reinsurance Operations team ensures operational excellence across underwriting and treaty administration. We collaborate with underwriting, pricing, claims, finance, and offshore partners to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant processes.

How does this role contribute to our collective success?

This role is recognized as a senior professional with specialized expertise. It leads complex underwriting support and reinsurance operations projects, drives process improvements, and ensures compliance across multiple lines of business.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Leading underwriting support activities, including preparing quotes, binders, and policy documents.

  • Reviewing submissions for completeness and accuracy of contract wording.

  • Supporting underwriters in decision-making and account strategy.

  • Liaising with pricing teams to provide analysis and recommendations.

  • Accepting renewal risks within delegated authority limits.

  • Drafting pricing recommendations and completing ratings for automatic renewals.

  • Overseeing treaty administration, compliance, and audit responses.

  • Monitoring reinsurance data entry, reconciliation, and reporting accuracy.

  • Serving as a subject-matter resource for colleagues on complex accounts.

  • Identifying process inefficiencies and recommending workflow enhancements.

  • Collaborating with offshore partners to optimize task allocation.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of underwriting support and reinsurance operations.

  • Apply understanding of treaty structures and regulatory requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.

  • 5+ years of insurance or reinsurance experience.

  • Exhibit experience providing subject-matter guidance or acting as a lead resource.

  • Use proficiency in Microsoft Office and reinsurance systems (e.g., SICS).

  • Display strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commit to continuous learning and operational excellence.

  • Bring experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies (preferred).

For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $85,000 - $125,000 (New Jersey) and $88,000 - $130,000 (New York). Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location. 

In addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance.

Where this role is based in the United States of America, this role is exempt for FLSA purposes.
