About the Role
Newlands Closure has a site-based opportunity for an experienced hands-on Rehabilitation Manager to join the team in progressing Australia’s largest coal rehabilitation project. Operating as an extensive Open Cut Mine until February 2023, the site has now moved to a rehabilitation and closure phase with the goal of converting the previously mined areas to cattle pastures by 2029 and achieve relinquishment. We are seeking a highly capable Rehabilitation Manager to lead closure and rehabilitation activities across our site. This is a senior leadership role responsible for delivering safe, compliant, and cost-effective rehabilitation outcomes while driving team performance and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the long-term sustainability of the site, ensuring environmental and regulatory obligations are met while aligning with closure objectives and long-term landform outcomes.
