The Regulatory Reporting team is responsible for the regulatory reporting requirements for LME Clear and

LME, covering key regulations such as EMIR, MiFID II and SFTR. The team ensures that all regulatory reports for the CCP and the exchange are submitted daily. It also ensures that reporting corrections are made in a timely manner, static data is maintained and kept up to date and any customer queries are responded to promptly.
 

The team works with key stakeholders across the business to manage and rectify any problems that require coordinated efforts.

Responsibilities

  • EMIR Transaction, Position, Valuation and Collateral Reporting for LME Clear
  • SFTR Reporting for LME Clear
  • MiFID Reporting for LME
  • Submitting other regulation reports for LME and LME Clear
  • Production of timely and accurate MIS
  • Static data maintenance
  • Maintain procedures for the different reporting services
  • Challenge current practices and procedures and develop and implement new procedures to enhance the reporting and controls process as necessary
  • Respond to client queries & resolve any issues
  • Review BAU processes on a regular basis with a view to increase automation to create efficiencies within the team
  • Perform UAT as required to ensure any development changes are accurately implemented

Academic and Professional Qualifications Required

  • A good level of academic achievement is required to A-Level calibre and likely to have a degree (ideal but not essential)

Required Knowledge and Level of Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience working in a financial reporting or controls environment
  • Experience in the regulatory reporting environment
  • Overall (end to end) understanding and/or working experiences of exchange and CCP services


Skills set and Core Competencies Required for Role

  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment and requirements in relation to a Clearing House and Exchange
  • Knowledge of MiFID, EMIR and SFTR would be a strong advantage
  • Analytical and problem-solving skill set
  • High attention to detail
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with utilising standard Office packages, particularly MS Excel and MS Access
  • Ability to follow procedures, identify problems and follow up on resolution
  • Ability to manage a task from start to finish and on a timely basis
  • Good verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Internal and external customer service skills
