Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Denmark - Copenhagen Full time

As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist with Nasdaq Surveillance team you’ll play a critical role in safeguarding the integrity, transparency, and orderly functioning of Nasdaq’s Nordic marketplaces by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and exchange rules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide regulatory guidance to issuers and advisors, with a strong focus on disclosure obligations and Market Abuse Regulation (MAR).
  • Supervise issuers’ ongoing compliance with Nasdaq rulebooks and the Danish Corporate Governance Code.
  • Conduct investigations into suspected violations of exchange rules and regulations, including preparing cases for referral to Nasdaq Copenhagen’s Disciplinary Committee and reporting to Finanstilsynet.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of Nasdaq rulebooks, Surveillance procedures, and internal frameworks across European Surveillance.
  • Present at educational seminars and participate in external forums related to exchange rules and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • LL.M. (Master of Laws) or MSc in Business Administration and Commercial Law.
  • Several years of proven professional experience , preferably within the securities market or a law firm environment.
  • Strong understanding about the capital market and of exchange regulations, e.g. by providing regulatory guidance.
  • Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in both Danish and English, written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience performing judicial or regulatory enquiries.
  • Prior exposure to market surveillance, supervision and enforcement, or legal adviser.
  • Experience working in a regulated financial or capital markets environment.

This position will be located in Copenhagen and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
