Job Description Summary:

The Registration Supervisor will coordinate and direct all non-medical office functions and activities related to registration, billing, managed care, insurance and scheduling operations. This position will ensure systems and policies and procedures are implemented to effectively oversee registration related functions. Responsible for the staffing and supervision of all registration personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning and directing work. This position is responsible for overseeing the registration processes of the GME Practices on a daily basis and to ensure effective business operations in coordination with the GME Nurse Managers.

Responsibilities And Duties:

Supervisory Responsible for the daily supervision of the registration and business office personnel and delegation of duties to ensure the efficient operation of patient flow. He/she supervises the office staff which may include positions such as registration, clerical, administrative et c . Manages work flow and delegates duties for the registration of the GME practices. The supervisor is responsible for facilitating the timely and accurate registration of patients to the GME practices and ensuring efficient patient flow of the check-in process. He/she provides leadership, direction and coaching to associates to help them reach their potential. He/she is a resource for customer service issues with associates, physicians and patients in the GME practices. The Registration Supervisor is responsible for establishing links of communication to the GME Nurse Managers/Director regarding scheduling, revenue cycle, equipment and ancillary service issues. The Registration Supervisor also collaborates with the Nurse Manager for patient flow as it relates to the certified medical assistants. The Registration Supervisor oversees the certified medical assistants as they work the registration area. 2.

Banking and Producing Reports The Registration Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the collection of patient payments at the time of service TO s as determined at the time of verification of benefits. The Registration Supervisor is responsible for ensuring maximum realization of revenue at the time of service. He/she is responsible for overseeing the TOS of each practice on a daily basis and ensuring the proper methods of receiving, recording and depositing of payments and other receipts. The Registration Supervisor is responsible for enforcing the internal controls required for cash management and for processing and reconciling the month end reports. 3.

Administrative The Registration Supervisor is responsible for report generation for monitoring customer service, phone service etc. for the GME practices. He/she may have responsibly for maintaining a database, project s or programs on an ongoing basis. The Registration Supervisor will maintain/process time sheets/payroll in coordination with the GME Nurse Managers. The Registration Supervisor performs miscellaneous and other duties as requested by the GME Nurse Mangers/Director.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Additional Job Description:

Field of Study: Business or equivalent combination of Experience and education. Five to seven years of office related Experience in business and financial operations in a health care environment. supervision and management Experience in heath care is required. Organization, management and supervision skills. Computer skills and financial knowledge base.
