About the Role
The Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing (RUSON) is currently enrolled at a university undertaking entry to practice studies. The student nurse will work across a range of clinical areas including acute care, subacute care and Residential at St Vincent’s Hospital (SVHM) to undertake a limited scope of nursing practice.
The RUSON is to provide support to the nursing team in the delivery of patient-centered-care. This role is required to work under the supervision and delegation of a Registered Nurse. The RUSON will practice within their level of education and assessed competencies, and under clearly defined role parameters.
Classifications for this position will be YP12 ($64,672 pro rata per annum)

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Minimal Enrolment of:
Year 2 Enrolled in 2nd year of Bachelor of Nursing Program or Master of Nursing Science
Evidence of completion of 1st year requirements for the Bachelor of Nursing Units (3-year degree)
Or
Enrolled in final year Bachelor of Nursing Program or Master of Nursing Science
Evidence of completion of 1st and 2nd-year requirements for the Bachelor of Nursing Units (3-year degree) or 1st-year unit requirements for the 2-year Master of Nursing Science
And
Student registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
