Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a RN Unit Coordinator for the Medicine/Step Down Unit 1-10K.
Shift:
FT (36-hours/week) - Days 7a-7p
Facility/Unit:
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a 569-bed tertiary care facility, is home to the area’s only Level I Trauma Center and burn trauma unit.
Come join the team on 10K - a 24-bed step down unit. . Patient population is cardiac, cardiac prep, renal failure, vascular, sepsis, pneumonia, sickle cell, OR-Prep, and diverse wound care.
Job Description:
Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
Education:
BSN or higher required
Certification:
Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing
