Salary: $74,317.94 - $104,336.27 + super

About the role

  • The Renal Ambulatory Care (RAC) unit is made up of acute haemodialysis, satellite dialysis, peritoneal dialysis home training and renal clinics.

  • Caring for inpatients and outpatients requiring renal replacement therapies - haemodialysis.

  • Assess, plan, and deliver specialised nursing care for patients with kidney-related conditions, including those undergoing dialysis, by monitoring vital signs, fluid balance, and treatment responses.

  • Educate and support patients and their families on managing chronic kidney disease, dialysis procedures, medications, and lifestyle adjustments, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care outcomes.

  • Supported by a Renal CNC/TNP/NP, Renal Transplant CNC, Peritoneal Dialysis CNC, Renal Supportive Care CNC and Clinical Nurse Educator.

About you

  • Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency. 

  • While acute care experience is preferred for this role, prior experience in haemodialysis is not required, as comprehensive training will be provided. 

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective collaboration and support within a team environment. 

  • Proven strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks within a complex setting. 

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with clinical skills, exhibiting critical thinking and analytical judgment in daily nursing practice.
