Where You Will Work:

4EF Medical/Telemetry – Respiratory Focus

4EF is a 24-bed, all-private room unit specializing in respiratory care and is the only non-ICU unit at Luke’s caring for ventilator patients. While respiratory is our focus, we also treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including COPD, CHF, pneumonia, sepsis, diabetic ulcers, and cellulitis. Our patients are high-acuity—just below ICU level, making this an excellent environment for skill development.

What You’ll See:

  • Ventilators (up to 4 chronic vent patients)
  • Chest tubes, trachs, feeding tubes, ostomies
  • Wound vacs, ports, suprapubic catheters
  • IV therapy, drips, NG tubes, drains

We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association .

What You’ll Do:

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
