Overview:

Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Vascular/Interventional Radiology Team. This is a Part Time, Day shift in Harrisonburg, VA! Call schedule requires a 30-minute response time

Schedule is 3 eight-hour shifts from 7a to 330p.

Call Requirements are 1 day per week. Graduated Call.

Sign on Bonus of $7,500 available for qualified candidates!

Vascular/Interventional Radiology Lab:

The Interventional Radiology/vascular lab RN can expect 3 to 5 procedures a day. This is a well-organized 12-person unit including RN's and Interventional Techs with a focus on education and professional growth. There is a 1 to 1 patient ratio in VIR. This role will also support CT and Ultrasound as needed. Ideal candidates will have procedural and sedation experience.

The RN is expected to uphold the highest standards of patient safety, adhere to evidence-based protocols, and contribute to a supportive and empathetic environment. As a patient advocate, you will work tirelessly to ensure each patient’s comfort, dignity, and well-being while fostering trust and a sense of security. This role demands a commitment to continuous learning, adaptability to evolving healthcare practices, and dedication to promoting the mission and values of the healthcare organization.  Responsible for performing competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. Possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by clinical area(s). Exhibits sound knowledge and understanding of routine nursing procedures and RN and LPN scope of practice.

Education

  • Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)

  • Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure

  • Registered nursing License (Required)

  • ACLS required prior to completion of orientation

  • BLS required within 90 days of hire

Experience

  • Preferred: 1-2 years Procedural, Emergency Department or ICU experience.

  • Critical care experience in hospital required

  • Manages complex cases in fast-paced environments

  • intra-procedural patient care/monitoring and moderate sedation preferred
