At Aurora Medical Center Manitowoc County, our Medical/Surgical Unit provides exceptional, patient‑centered care in a modern healing environment overlooking the scenic Lake Michigan shoreline. Located on the third floor just off the gold elevators, our unit features 17 private rooms designed to support a calm, healing experience for a wide variety of medical and surgical patients.
We are nationally recognized for excellence in both cancer and orthopedic care, earning awards for our best practices, quality outcomes, and patient experience. Our typical patient population includes post‑surgical patients, oncology, geriatrics, and orthopedics, offering teammates a rich and diverse clinical experience.
Our Med/Surg team is known for its collaborative culture, blending a strong mix of experienced and newer nurses who work seamlessly together to support each other and deliver high‑quality care. The unit is supported by CNAs, LPNs, unit educators, physical therapy, and a dedicated RN case manager, fostering a strong interdisciplinary approach.

Located along the shores of Lake Michigan, Aurora Medical Center - Manitowoc County features state-of-the-art facilities and patient rooms with views of either the surrounding lake or gardens.
Our cancer and cardiac care programs have received national recognition for their best practices and quality of care.
You can also count on Aurora Health Center, located on the same campus, to offer convenient care in conjunction with the hospital. Specialists in a variety of fields see patients right next door to the hospital and offer in-hospital consultations.
