Sentara Obici Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical Unit on the day shift. If you're looking for a fast-paced, team-centered environment where every day brings new challenges and meaningful impact, this is the opportunity for you.
The Med/Surg unit is the cornerstone of acute care nursing—and one of the best places to build clinical expertise, strengthen care coordination skills, and work as part of a collaborative team. Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to a diverse adult patient population
Collaborate with physicians, care teams, and families to coordinate comprehensive care
Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and maintain accurate clinical documentation
Educate patients and families to support safe and effective transitions of care
Contribute to performance improvement and a culture of safety and accountability
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management
Experience in medical-surgical or acute care preferred
New graduate RNs are also encouraged to apply
