Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Oncology Unit. 

Shift: Days

Hours: (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

Weekend: Rotate

Weekly Scheduled Hours: 36

License and Certification

  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire

Education

  • RN-Associate’s Degree, or

  • RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or

  • RN-Diploma, or

  • RN-Master’s Degree

We are a 16-bed unit that specializes in providing exceptional care for Solid Tumor Oncology, Hematology Oncology, and Surgical Oncology patients.

  • As an RN on this unit, some of the services you will provide are as follows: Chemotherapy/Biotherapy drug administration (Certification required after 6-months of hire.)

  • Pre/Post-Surgical Care· Hospice and Palliative Care

  • Sickle Cell Management
