Atrium Health Levine Children’s Pediatric Heart Transplant Coordinator

Pay Range

$37.50 - $56.25

Atrium Health Levine Children’s Pediatric Heart Transplant and VAD Coordinator provides care and support to pediatric heart transplant and VAD patients and families. The role coordinates all aspects of transplant care—pre-transplant evaluation, education, and post-transplant follow-up—while guiding families through the process with compassion and expertise. The transplant coordinator works with a multidisciplinary team to help patients achieve the optimal outcomes.

 We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Three years of Nursing experience needed
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program upon hire/transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program.

What You’ll Do:

• The RN Transplant is a professional registered nurse and a designated member of the transplant team who provides comprehensive nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies, procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader.
• The RN works with patients and their families beginning with the evaluation and will continue through the transplant process.
