Registered Nurse (RN) – Davie RN Float Pool

Bermuda Run, NC, United States

Where You Will Work:

As a Float Pool Nurse at Davie Medical Center, you will provide high-quality, flexible care across three specialized units. The 14-bed Surgical Unit focuses on joint replacement procedures including shoulder, knee, hip, ankle, and minor spine surgeries. This unit operates with a quick turnover, frequently discharging patients the same day once cleared by PT, allowing them to recover safely at home. The 36-bed Medical-Surgical Unit serves a broad range of patients, most of whom are admitted through the Emergency Department. Four of these beds are designated as Virtual Critical Care (VCC), supporting Intermediate Care (IMC) level patients who require closer monitoring and more acute care. These patients are managed by virtual intensivists and cared for by Float Pool RNs or other trained RNs within the Unit. The 23-bed Emergency Department is a community hospital ED equipped with advanced diagnostic imaging and laboratory capabilities. It provides comprehensive care for a wide variety of illnesses and injuries, receiving patients from local and surrounding county EMS services 24/7. Patients requiring critical care or surgical intervention are stabilized and transferred to tertiary care centers. This Float Pool RN role offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to impact patient care across multiple specialties in a collaborative environment.

Expectations We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • 2 years of ED or Med/Surg experience required

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
