Registered Nurse (RN) Employee Health
Part Time within hours of M-F 8-5

Gives professional nursing care to patients and provides supervision and guidance to other members of the nursing staff. Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and has a current license from the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners. Experience in general nursing desired. 2-3 years general experience, employee health experience beneficial but not required, infection prevention experience beneficial but not required.

Qualifications:

- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License
- Must maintain a current BLS & ACLS certification from American Heart
Association
- BSN required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire
-Experienced RN


• Responsible for the immunization program as well as documentation of
employee injuries.
• Directly involved in planning/follow up post employee TB exposure events.
• Collaborates with Human Resources and Infection Control concerning
injured worker documentation and general infection control issues.
• Shares responsibility for educating staff about the risk of transmission and
appropriate exposure precautions for communicable diseases.
• This position requires close interaction with employees of all departments
within the hospital, along with medical staff and volunteers.
• Knowledge of nursing practice.
• Specialized education in occupational injuries and immunology, and
nursing management preferred.
• Must be able to work well with others and communicate effectively in
writing as well as orally.
• Must be able to work without close supervision.
• Computer skills are an important aspect of the position.
• Requires good organizational skills.
• Possesses the ability to adapt to changes in workload and demonstrates
flexibility when faced with interruption.
