Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Job Description

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Registered Nurse – Pre Procedure Services

  • Location:  4901 Searle Pkwy Skokie IL

  • Part Time, 20 hours per week

  • Hours: Monday - Friday,  8a-4:30p,  No calls or weekends

  • May be eligible for remote work once requirements are met

What you will need:

  • License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required

  • Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred

  • Certification: BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider required

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years-experience in peri anesthesia (PAT, Pre-op, PACU/Phase 2) Strong background in Pre-admission testing strongly preferred.

  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Proficiency in EPIC Application

What you will do:

  • Demonstrates a commitment to the mission of Endeavor Health, exhibits a positive service orientation, and adheres to all responsibilities and standards of the organization.

  • Conducts patient interview via telephone prior to scheduled surgeries to obtain and share procedural information and directions

  • Provides patient education via telephone related to upcoming surgery

  • Informs patient of pre-anesthetic evaluation process

  • Collaborates closely with the Anesthesia provider team

  • Ensures required pre-surgical testing is completed prior to patient surgical appointment

  • Integrates research findings into nursing practice

  • Works cohesively with related nursing areas prior to surgical procedure

  • Maintains knowledge of nursing procedures specific to different service lines

  • Maintains knowledge and competency reflective of current standards of nursing practice.

  • Promotes hospital quality improvement goals.

  •  Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit

  • Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care

  • Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care

  • Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care

  • Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
