Sentara CarePlex in Hampton, VA is currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room.

Full-time: 40 hours

Education

  • RN-Associate’s Degree

  • RN-Bachelor’s Degree

  • RN-Diploma

  • RN-Master’s Degree

Certification/Licensure

  • Virginia or Compact Multi-state RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.

  • ACLS & PALS or ENPC within one (1) year of hire

  • BLS within 90 days of hire

Experience:

Prefer Registered Nurses with experience in OR.

Peri-op 101 - New Grad/Transition to Practice
This 15-week-long program is for new graduate nurses, experienced nurses wishing to change specialties, or foreign OR nurses transitioning to OR nursing in the US.

Program includes -
Formal delivery of fundamental perioperative concepts and standards

Policy review, case study review

Hands-on experience in the OR alongside a trained nurse preceptor

Opportunity to share your experiences/networking with peers in a safe, protected environment

Exposure to evidence-based practice guidelines as recommended by AORN (Association of periOperative Registered Nurses)
