Where You Will Work:
Unit 541 is a medical-surgical oncology unit committed to delivering exceptional, relationship-based, patient-centered care to adults with complex medical and oncologic needs. As part of a hospital pursuing its fifth Magnet Recognition Program designation, our unit exemplifies nursing excellence through a strong professional practice model grounded in evidence-based care, quality outcomes, and continuous innovation.
Our nurses practice in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary environment, partnering with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and supportive care teams to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care across the continuum, including chemotherapy administration, symptom management, palliative care, and hospice transitions. Unit 541 nurses are empowered to lead and influence practice through shared governance, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice projects that directly impact patient outcomes and the nursing profession.
This unit offers a dynamic learning environment where nurses build advanced clinical judgment, refine complex assessment skills, and develop expertise in oncology nursing, pain and symptom management, and end-of-life care. We’re Looking For:
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
One year or more of inpatient RN experience strongly preferred
Previous Charge Nurse experience or strong interest in Charge strongly preferred
What You’ll Do:
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
