Position Overview:

RN - Infusion/Oncology, RN - Hematology/Oncology
The Oncology RN, under general supervision and within the scope of practice for a registered nurse in California, The Oncology Practice Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients receiving cancer treatment in an outpatient setting. This role works closely with the attending oncologist to coordinate patient care, deliver education, administer treatments, and support patients and families throughout the cancer care continuum. The nurse ensures safe clinical practice, maintains high standards of communication, and contributes to efficient clinic operations.    

Job Description:

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing


CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

  • RN-Registered Nurse of California
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • ONS-Oncology Nurse Society


DEPARTMENT REQUIRED CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

  • OCN-Certified Oncology RN within 3 years of hire


DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE

  • Infusion, Oncology experience

Pay Range is $78.29 to $103.19 / hour

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
