Salary: 39.23 - 55.09 AUD base per hour.

About The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse looking for a development opportunity within the Day Surgery environment. A new Day Surgery Centre is opening at the Mater early 2026, and the successful candidate will play a significant role in this growth.
Patient centred clinical practice in accordance with recognised standards.
Ensure safety of patients and staff by designing effective and efficient systems and processes of care.

About You:

Experience in Day Surgery, Preadmission, Endoscopy or recovery.
Awareness of the Australian National Standards and accreditation principles.
Commitment to providing excellent clinical care.
Ability to work autonomously and effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to adapt and change to suit organisational and patient needs.
Ability to develop procedures and protocols.
Knowledge of Meditech systems.
Excellent communication skills.

About The Mater:

In this role you will be based at the Mater hospital, North Sydney.

One of Sydney’s premier private hospitals.
Close by to train stations at North Sydney, St Leonards, and Crows Nest, and buses on Pacific Highway.
The only Australian hospital that is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres.
Core specialties include Obstetrics, Orthopaedics including hip and knee joint replacements, bone and sports injuries, cardiology, cancer care and surgery, lung and vascular medicine, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology, endocrine surgery, and neurosurgery.
