JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.

SUMMARY:

The Regional Vice President (RVP) is a senior executive role within JAS Forwarding USA, serving as a critical link between the corporate executive team and regional operations. This position is responsible for executing company strategies, driving growth, and ensuring operational excellence across multiple branches within the assigned region. The RVP plays a pivotal role in shaping regional performance, fostering a culture of engagement, and maintaining alignment with corporate objectives.
As a member of the USA Executive Team, the RVP represents corporate leadership in the region and acts as a champion for company initiatives. This includes promoting strategic programs, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations, and maintaining high standards of service quality. The RVP is expected to lead with determination and passion, setting the tone for success and accountability throughout the region.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of operational functions to ensure full compliance with JAS processes, procedures, and all applicable governmental regulations.

  • Ensure timely and effective internal and external communication across all levels of the organization.

  • Champion superior customer service standards within regional support teams to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Achieve and exceed company-established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through consistent monitoring and performance management.

  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with vendors and customers to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Actively support the sales force in expanding customer relationships and driving revenue growth.

  • Optimize staff productivity and resource allocation to maximize efficiency while controlling operational costs.

  • Maintain full accountability for regional P&L, including financial controlling and strategic planning aligned with corporate objectives.

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and job costing.

  • Prepare and deliver monthly strategic overview reports to executive leadership, providing insights on performance, trends, and improvement initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership

  • Serve as the primary representative of the Executive Team within the region, ensuring company policies and strategies are clearly communicated and implemented.

  • Drive engagement and collaboration across branches, fostering a proactive business development environment where growth is a shared priority.

  •   Identify opportunities for regional expansion and market penetration, aligning initiatives with corporate goals.

Financial & Operational Management

  • Prepare and manage annual budgets for all branches within the region, ensuring adherence to financial targets and operational KPIs.

  • Oversee P&L performance, financial controls, and strategic planning for regional business units.

  • Conduct monthly reviews of financial and operational dashboards to monitor productivity and compliance

Business Development

  • Actively support sales efforts by visiting key customers, assisting in closing major deals, and strengthening client relationships.

  • Maintain retention of key accounts while identifying new opportunities for growth and service enhancement.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure all operational activities comply with JAS procedures, ISO standards, and Customs & Trade regulations.

  • Partner with the Operational Excellence & Transformation (OXT) team to implement process improvements and system utilization across branches.

  • Monitor billing accuracy, credit approvals, and accounts receivable to prevent service interruptions

Talent Development

  • Promote a strong training culture to enhance morale, efficiency, and retention.

  • Collaborate with Talent Management to identify future leaders and succession plans for critical roles.

  • Encourage employees to apply new skills and monitor improvements in productivity and service quality.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in freight forwarding, including air, ocean, and logistics operations.

  • Minimum 10+ years managing high-performance teams and multiple branch locations.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School diploma or GED required.

  • Demonstrated experience managing P&L for multiple sites and preparing strategic budgets.

  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

  • International business development experience strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational systems; additional language skills are a plus.

  • Experience in preparing and managing budgets and financial controls.

The base salary range for this position is $220,000 to $ 250,000 annually, in accordance with the California pay transparency law.
