What is the opportunity?
As Regional Vice President, Insurance Brokerage Distribution you will contribute to RBC Insurance’s (RBCI) overall Brokerage channel sales goals through the recruitment, selection, coaching, development and management of a highly productive sales team. Through expert coaching and advice, you will ensure maximization of revenue generation, superior client experiences, cost and operational effectiveness, and compliance across Ontario regions. This senior sales role has overall accountability for the client experience, sales and business performance, employee capability and engagement, embedding a proactive sales culture, risk management, and ethical sales practices within their markets.
What will you do?
Provides leadership to the Brokerage sales team, championing the client experience while delivering upon the RBCI’s Vision, Strategic Priorities and Organizational Goals
Manage distributor relationships and explore new revenue generating opportunities.
Focus teams on deepening new and existing client relationships by working with partners to introduce advisors to a full range of RBC solutions.
Demonstrate commitment to acquire new clients and build market awareness of RBCI by representing RBC in the community by organizing and participating in market events and community groups/associations.
Champion and successfully execute change while supporting employees through the process and keeping them focused on business priorities.
Build a culture that promotes effective partnering between teams, RBCI partners and across the broader organization.
Provide focus and clarity in establishing individual goals, driving performance management, supporting career development and rewarding strong performance across sales team.
Review sales results to plan and discuss at weekly activity reviews and monthly/quarterly performance reviews, adjusting activities as required to meet established targets
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Minimum 10+ years industry experience with a focus on multi-line insurance in a sales capacity (including Life, Health & Wealth)
Minimum 5+ years sales leadership experience within the insurance brokerage industry
Life license (LLQP)
Combined strong achievement motivation, linked to excellent implementation skills and interpersonal skills that enable successful partnering with others to drive results
Travel requirement: 25%- 50%
College or university degree or equivalent
Nice-to-have
Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)
Knowledge of the RBC Insurance Platform

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.
Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is:
$110,000.00 - $160,000.00The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location. If the posting lists multiple job locations, a recruiter can confirm availability of the role and the relevant pay rage for the additional locations listed.
