The Regional Vice President (RVP) for EMEA Sales is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving F5’s operational excellence across all business lines in the EMEA region while spearheading the growth of AI-driven sales opportunities. Reporting directly to the SVP of EMEA Sales, you will balance a dual mandate: enhancing processes and efficiencies that impact the entire EMEA business while guiding a specialized team of sales professionals tasked with establishing F5 as a leader in AI-powered solutions.  

As a key contributor to the region’s success, you will focus on operational improvements that elevate performance, ensure scalability, and drive execution while simultaneously delivering revenue and pipeline growth for F5's AI business segment.  

Key Responsibilities 

1. Regional Operational Excellence 

  • Own and drive operational excellence initiatives across all F5 business lines in the EMEA region (not limited to AI), focusing on process optimization and efficiency.  
  • Define and implement best practices in regional sales execution around forecasting accuracy, pipeline health, quota attainment, and funnel conversion.  
  • Streamline business processes, scalability, and tools across EMEA to ensure alignment on strategies, execution, and customer satisfaction.  
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (including marketing, customer success, delivery, and finance) to develop initiatives that enhance customer engagement and business results.  
  • Monitor and analyze operational metrics region-wide to identify areas for continuous improvement and implement corrective measures. 

2. AI Sales Strategy & Business Growth 

  • Develop and execute a strategy to establish F5 as a market leader in the artificial intelligence (AI) domain within the EMEA region.  
  • Build and sustain a pipeline of AI-driven opportunities and deliver on new revenue targets within this fast-emerging sector.  
  • Identify, analyze, and act on market opportunities and competitive trends in AI to refine the go-to-market strategy.  
  • Lead the team of AI sales specialists in engaging with enterprise customers, demonstrating F5’s capabilities in applying AI to real-world challenges.  
  • Foster innovation within the sales organization by leveraging AI tools and methodologies to enable better decision-making and more personalized customer engagements. 

3. Leadership & Team Development 

  • Inspire and manage a high-performing team consisting of AI sales specialists and a program manager with clear objectives and accountability.  
  • Act as a role model for leadership across the EMEA region, contributing to a culture of operational rigor, collaboration, and innovation.  
  • Actively coach, mentor, and develop sales professionals, ensuring they have the training, tools, and motivation to succeed.  
  • Foster a team environment that prioritizes inclusivity, adaptability, and continuous improvement. 

4. Customer & Partner Engagement 

  • Take a direct role in cultivating and managing high-value customer and partner relationships to expand F5’s influence in the EMEA region, especially in AI.  
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their business objectives and position F5’s cross-functional solutions (AI and beyond) to meet their needs.  
  • Build strategic alliances, particularly in the AI ecosystem, where collaboration fuels success. 

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration Across F5 

  • Act as a bridge between the EMEA region and global teams, ensuring alignment between regional and corporate strategies.  
  • Partner closely with product management, marketing, and engineering teams to align F5 solutions with customer needs and market opportunities.  
  • Champion customer feedback and regional insights globally to influence product innovation, marketing campaigns, and sales enablement programs.  
  • Share learnings and insights from early AI engagements with the broader EMEA sales community, enabling knowledge transfer, skill development, and increased adoption of AI solutions within the region.  
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to implement and scale the successful practices of the AI sales team across all EMEA business areas. 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Technology, or related fields (MBA preferred).  
  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in sales or business development, with a proven track record of delivering growth across a multi-national region (ideally EMEA).  
  • Demonstrated expertise in driving operational excellence initiatives across business verticals, coupled with strong process optimization skills.  
  • Experience building and scaling AI-specific sales initiatives or working in adjacent areas of AI/ML technologies is highly desirable.  
  • Proven ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams, inspire collaboration, and drive accountability at all levels.  
  • Strong enterprise sales understanding with expertise in developing solutions for complex customer demands.  
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, interpersonal communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.  
  • Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented, with the ability to balance strategic and operational priorities.  
  • Ability to travel extensively within the EMEA region.
