Regional Technical Lead - STV Incorporated seeks an accomplished Planner/Program Development leader to be based in Boston or other major U.S. metropolitan area. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced, dynamic leader to support strategic client initiatives leveraging STV’s unique industry experience, trusted client relationships, and growing roster of recognized subject matter experts.

STV continues to grow our strong resume of project work with transportation authorities, municipal and state agencies, and large private organizations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing client-facing strategies and supporting teams as they operationalize plans into implementable programs across the U.S. The candidate will be a recognized senior professional with a background in innovative municipal and transportation planning services.

The Senior Program Manager is responsible for:

  • Practice leadership - Working with practice and office leadership, focus on client development, business development and industry participation. A key focus of practice building is mentorship and skill development of professional staff.

  • Client relationship development - Develop and nurture key client relationships and leverage existing client relationships for future work opportunities. Communication across multi-discipline client and consultant technical teams to deliver successful outcomes for STV clients.

  • Project and program management - Collaboration with multi-discipline professionals within the project team and includes the ability to integrate a series of independent and often interrelated professional actions to attain desired project goals. Performing and managing diverse and complex discipline work tasks requiring extensive planning, communication and management skills.

  • Business and administrative management - Negotiating and establishing project budgets, staffing, project coordination and productivity necessary to deliver exceptional services to our clients. Coordination with other directors/leaders to ensure excellent quality and consistent application of technical standards and applications across projects.

Requirements

  • Direct experience in successfully delivering transportation studies, feasibility studies, alternatives analysis, environmental impact statements and assessments and leadership for multi-discipline projects with high degrees of technical complexity and multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Proven project management skills, with experience overseeing complex transportation projects.

  • Experience working with transportation agencies including federal, state and local authorities. Demonstrated planning practice development and management capability.

  • Bachelors or Masters of Science degree in planning, engineering, public administration, or related field. Masters preferred.

  • Fifteen+ (15) years of experience in transportation planning or a closely related field, with professional experience in both the public sector and private-sector consulting, along with a minimum of five (5) years of team management experience.

  • Professional licensures and certifications preferred, for example PE, AICP, PMP.

  • A strong reputation with major clients, knowledge of market opportunities, and a facility for business development and winning project work.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Compensation Range:

$179,925.15 - $205,628.74
