What this job involves:
The Regional Sustainability Manager will drive operational delivery of sustainability programs across JLL's UK and Europe client portfolios. Reporting to the Regional Sustainability Lead, you will identify, develop, and implement sustainability initiatives while maintaining robust data systems supporting Net Zero Carbon targets by 2030. This role bridges sustainability strategy and operational delivery, working with engineering teams, facility managers, and client stakeholders to ensure initiatives are successfully integrated, tracked, and evidenced. You will translate sustainability ambitions into measurable outcomes that create lasting value for clients and contribute to JLL's leadership in sustainable real estate management.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct sustainability audits across UK and Europe premises, identifying energy, water, and waste optimization opportunities with detailed ROI analysis and business cases
Develop implementation plans for sustainability initiatives, coordinating with engineering and facility management teams to ensure operational feasibility
Manage sustainability data collection, validation, and tracking systems across multiple metrics, ensuring data integrity and comprehensive performance documentation
Collaborate with client stakeholders and facility teams to secure buy-in and provide technical guidance supporting successful implementation
Support annual regional sustainability action plans, contribute to quarterly business intelligence reports, and track performance against KPIs
Research utility rebates, incentives, and government funding programs to maximize financial viability of initiatives
Drive process standardization and continuous improvement, capturing and sharing best practices across the portfolio
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Energy, Engineering, or related discipline
Proven experience implementing sustainability initiatives in corporate real estate or facilities management, including conducting audits and translating findings into actionable projects
Demonstrated experience managing sustainability data across multiple metrics with proven ability to ensure accuracy and utilize data management tools
Track record developing business cases with financial analysis, ROI calculations, and knowledge of Low-Cost/No-Cost sustainability opportunities
Strong understanding of energy management, carbon reduction strategies, environmental performance metrics, and green building certifications
Experience coordinating sustainability initiatives in operational facilities and integrating with engineering and facility management operations
Demonstrated stakeholder management skills with ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
Exposure to multi-site portfolio management across diverse geographies
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with green lease principles, utility rebate programs, business intelligence reporting tools, sustainability performance platforms, KPI tracking methodologies, sustainability committees, and building systems technologies
