DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Regional Leadership & Operational Management
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to Service Managers, Service Parts Managers, Service Parts Representatives, and related staff across all assigned branches.
- Conduct regular branch visits to assess operational performance, workflow adherence, and service‑parts integration.
- Implement standardized processes, SOPs, and best practices to ensure consistency across locations.
- Lead regional initiatives related to service‑parts optimization, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure alignment between parts and service departments to support shared performance goals.
Service Support & Technician Productivity
- Ensure timely availability of parts required for service repairs, preventive maintenance, and emergency jobs.
- Collaborate with Service Managers to forecast demand, plan upcoming work, and identify parts‑related bottlenecks.
- Develop and implement parts‑staging strategies to reduce technician downtime and improve repair cycle times.
- Support service scheduling by ensuring accurate ETA communication for backordered or special‑order parts.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
- Oversee branch inventory levels, turns, fill rates, and accuracy to support operations.
- Partner with FleetPride retail locations, procurement, distribution centers, and OEM suppliers to forecast demand and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Manage slow‑moving, obsolete, and surplus inventory to minimize financial exposure.
- Ensure proper handling of cores, returns, warranty parts, and vendor credits.
- Conduct periodic inventory audits and ensure compliance with inventory control procedures.
Customer & Vendor Relationship Management
- Support branches in resolving escalated parts or service‑related customer issues.
- Participate in vendor meetings, product reviews, and training sessions to stay current on product offerings.
Systems, Compliance & Process Governance
- Ensure proper use of ERP, inventory management, and service management systems across all branches.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Support rollout of new technologies, system upgrades, and corporate initiatives.
- Ensure accurate documentation of parts transactions, warranty claims, and service‑parts workflows.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) Required
- Associate degree in Business, Management, or a related field; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Valid drivers’ license with clean driving record
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Professional Experience
- 5–8+ years of experience in heavy‑duty truck, equipment, or industrial parts/service operations.
- 3+ years of multi‑site leadership or regional management experience.
- Strong knowledge of service‑parts workflows, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive operational improvements.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management software, and service management platforms.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within the region.
Technology Experience
- Advanced level knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
- Experience with CRM utilization; preferred
- Experience with PowerBi utilization; preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment for this position is dynamic and varied, involving both branch/warehouse and office settings. The primary environment is characterized by ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment found in a typical office environment.

- Travel: The role involves regular travel to branch locations, industry events, and customer sites. This includes driving or flying, which may require handling luggage and navigating various environments. Travel may constitute up to 50% of the role.
- Visual and Auditory Requirements: The ability to read and interpret documents, use a computer, and communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via email is essential. This includes the capacity to listen attentively, respond clearly, and make presentations.
- Mobility: The area manager should be able to move around various settings, including offices, branch locations, warehouses, and customer sites. This may involve walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs, bending, reaching, and stooping.
- Exposure to Industrial Environments: Visits to branch locations and customer sites may expose the area manager to industrial environments, which may include noise, dust, and other conditions typical of manufacturing and warehouse facilities. Appropriate safety measures, such as wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), may be required.
