The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Regional Sales & Marketing Manager to lead the growth of our Automation & Communications Service portfolio across a designated region. In this strategic role, you will shape and execute innovative sales and marketing plans that drive revenue, expand market share, and position Hitachi as a leader in cutting-edge automation and communication solutions.
This role offers flexibility in location anywhere within Europe. If you enjoy being close to customers and teams, you’ll thrive in this position—expect to travel 30–50% of the time across the region, building relationships and driving business where it matters most.
How you’ll make an impact
Drive Strategy & Growth: Develop and implement comprehensive regional sales and marketing strategies aligned with global objectives.
Lead Complex Sales Cycles: Manage the entire process—from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing—for large-scale automation and communication service projects.
Build Strong Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders, understanding their evolving needs and delivering tailored solutions.
Identify Opportunities: Conduct market analysis to uncover new business prospects, monitor competitive landscapes, and stay ahead of emerging trends in industrial automation, IoT, and communication technologies.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product development, engineering, and service delivery teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
Represent Hitachi Energy: Promote our offerings at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, enhancing brand visibility and thought leadership.
Lead & Inspire: Provide guidance and mentorship to regional sales teams (where applicable), fostering a high-performance culture.
Your background
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, or related), Business Administration, Marketing, or similar. A Master’s degree is a plus.
8–10 years of progressive sales and marketing experience in industrial automation, communications, or related technology services.
Proven success in exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a regional capacity.
Deep understanding of industrial automation technologies (PLCs, SCADA, robotics, IIoT), communication networks (industrial Ethernet, wireless), and service models.
Strategic thinking, strong business acumen, exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
Experience managing complex sales cycles and large-scale projects.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
