PURPOSE:
Seeking a driven, results oriented Regional Grocery expert with an excellent track record of success and managing grocery retailers across the U.S. This role will be responsible for driving growth of the pladis product portfolio (Flipz, Turtles, Godiva, and McVitie’s brands) for the Midwest/Western region accounts including: Supervalu, Stater Bros, Associated Foods, Affiliated Foods, AWG, Raleys, Basha’s, and UNFI & KEHE nationally. Expertise should include regional/national accounts management and sales team or broker sales team management. This position will require developing and leading strategic vision and measurable objectives (sales growth targets, forecasting accuracy, etc.) for the assigned customers and brokers. An “entrepreneur-like” mentality and a history of meeting and exceeding sales objectives must be demonstrated. Experience and expertise within the Confection, Snack and/or Cookie Categories are preferred. The location of this position is flexible within the continental U.S.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:
Achieve top & bottom line sales & profit goals with a significant focus on generating profit and share growth for assigned customer base
Manage senior level merchandising relationships with key accounts
Responsible for analyzing, formatting & presenting category trend/sales data to customers/broker partner at a regional and corporate level
Create and present information that is formatted in a compelling and persuasive manner
Lead and facilitate customer/broker management
Have direct oversight of order to cash management on all applicable accounts
Responsible for setting and leading broker team strategy and leading their broker team
Accurately forecast business at all assigned accounts
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
4+ years of CPG or food sales experience
4+ years selling experience managing direct and broker managed sales models
Selling within the CPG specializing on food products
Developing and leading multi-year strategic plans
Leveraging analytics to identify trends, opportunities and business insight
Strong business acumen; specifically with P&L management, Trade Management and Demand Planning
Strong broker management and/or team leadership experience
Trade Promotion Management System experience preferred
Strong skill level in Microsoft applications
Preferred experience using & leveraging consumer insights
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
Effective problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills needed for working cross-functionally with internal and external teams
Ability to interface with multiple levels of an organization
Proactive (high sense of urgency) and committed to delivering results in a fast paced, demanding work environment
Able to travel 20-30%
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:
Base starting salary ranges from $102k - $153k/year. The base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role includes:
