Job Title: Regional Sales Manager - Vans

In this autonomous and rewarding role you will be responsible for developing and delivering business by targeting commercial vehicle accounts across Scotland and the North East in a business-to-business market. 

The main responsibilities within your role are as follows;

  • Revenue Delivery: Conducts timely and targeted sales calls and visits to customers to create and maximise continuous and profitable revenue and ensure an exceptional level of service is maintained
  • Tender Analysis: Collaborates with teams to provide analysis and support the response to client tenders so as to achieve sales targets
  • Competitor Awareness: Tracks market trends and activity within defined market segment so as to identify new business opportunities
  • Bid Management: Contributes towards the implementation of the new tenders so as to achieve the operational and commercial requirements therefore meeting the customer needs
  • Local Business Development: Collaborates and consults with local and regional partners and internal stakeholders to deliver the best outcomes for the business and ensuring a consistent approach
  • Business Intelligence: Shares business and customer insights with colleagues so as to capitalise on new market data and enhance further the Avis proposition 
  • Pricing: Collaborates with commercial team to set pricing strategy and maintain rate and volume and competitive situation
  • Relationship Management: Develops strong relationships across individual business teams and operations to deliver an integrated approach

We are looking for:

  • An individual with prior business to business experience and a proven and current background in the commercial vehicle rental industry
  • An individual who is happy to travel to sites and customers throughout Scotland and the North East where required
  • A solid knowledge in managing the RFP process
  • Tenacious to win and develop new business
  • A strong presenter and communicator
  • Someone who has the ability to plan in advance to ensure their time is managed efficiently
  • Someone with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office package
